Springer Turkey Challenge Continues to Support Local Families
by Keith Springer
There is no better feeling than helping those in need. That's why I take great pride in our annual Springer Turkey Challenge. Our purpose is to raise money to help feed hungry families in the Sacramento region during the holiday season. It is my belief that no child should ever go hungry, especially during the holidays.
As that time of year approaches, we total up all the donations we've received throughout the year and match them dollar for dollar. Even $15 to buy a turkey can make a difference to a family in need.
It's such a simple way to give back, and we are pleased to say the Springer Turkey Challenge has been feeding thousands of people every year since it began in 1999. This could not be done without the support of our clients, friends and family. We would like to say a special "thank you" to all of you for joining us in making this a successful commitment to eliminating hunger in our neighborhoods. We hope the Springer Turkey Challenge will continue to aid those in need for many years to come.
Current donations support:
- River Oak Center for Children
- Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services
- Make-A-Wish Foundation of Sacramento
- Stanford Settlement
